The United Nations Transition Assistance Group operation in Namibia in 1989 was a turning point in the shift from traditional peacekeeping procedure to a new generation of multidisciplinary process. It represented a political mission, a peacemaking mission and a peace building operation, all in one. The host country, Namibia can be found on the south-western part of the African continent.
