The effect of Cobalt complex of 1-(8-hydroxy quinolin-2yl-methyl) urea (Co-HUF) on the corrosion inhibition of mild steel has been investigated in aqueous sodium chloride solution. Result showed that the corrosion inhibition efficiency offered by 50 ppm of Co-HUF is 84 %. The corrosion resistance was observed because of the formation of more stable and compact Cobalt Complex of 8-hydroxyquinoline derivative as potential Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild steel in aqueous Sodium Chloride solution
