A Novel Quadratic Boost Converter With Low Inductor Currents

In this paper, a novel quadratic boost converter is presented. The input current of the converter is non-pulsating and the currents of the inductors are relatively low. The operating principle and the mathematical model of the converter in continuous conduction mode (CCM) are given. The steady-state of the converter is calculated and the power loss of the converter is analyzed. Then the small-signal model of the converter is derived based on the state space averaging method.
