A sedimentologic, petrographic, biostratigraphic and structural study was carried out on the external ourcrops of the Reitano Flysch (Western Maghrebian Chain, Sicily) in order to clarify its age, relationships with its substratum and paleogeographic significance, all of which are still very controversial.
