Performance evaluation of an electronic lead-lag VAr compensator and its application in brushless generation
Proceedings of Second International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems
In this paper the suitability of an electronic current-controlled lead-lag VAR compensator for excitation control of a brushless Self-Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) has been critically evaluated. A time domain approach which involves solution of differential equations is used in the modelling and analysis of this VAR compensator. Based on this model, the steady-state and transient performance of such compensator has been investigated. The analytical model for determining equivalent
