Results of our study regarding PET (polyethylene terephtalate) recycling by reprocessing are given in this report. Due to the Hungarian selective waste collection program about 8-10 kt PET collection is predicted for 2005. From the side of small and medium enterprises there is a need of technological solutions for production of marketable, good quality products using the collected plastic wastes. Such an R&D work is carried out in the Bay Zoltán Institute for Materials Science and Technology
