Objective: This proof of concept study investigated whether dual time point FDG-PET/CT with image acquisition after 1 and 3 h could be useful in preoperative staging of patients undergoing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy and extended pelvic lymph node dissection for high-risk prostate cancer. Results: Twenty patients with high-risk prostate cancer underwent dual time point FDG-PET/CT before undergoing surgery. Histologically confirmed lymph node metastases were found in 9/20 (45%).
