Occlusion of the Anterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery

The neuroradiological and neurotological findings in two cases of infarct in the territory of the anterior inferior cerebellar artery were presented. A 39-year-old male and a 50-year-old male complained of severe rotatory vertigo, sudden deafness and diplopia. CT scan and vertebral angiography showed ischemic changes in the pontine lateral inferior region. more » ... alities were indicated by spontaneous gaze paretic nystagmus, horizontal saccadic eye movement on eye tracking, inhibitory response to horizontal optokinetic stimulation and no response on the affected side in caloric tests. These abnormalities suggested brain stem and cerebellar lesions.
