soils and peaty soils in South and Central Kalimantan, Jambi, and South Sumatera province in 2002, dry season and 2002/03, wet season. Aim of these trials were found promising rice lines with high yield potential and stability and were acceptable by farmers at tidal swamp wetland. Ten rice lines with Margasari and Mendawak as check varieties used in trials. Each trial was designed by RCBD three replications. Plot area was 4 x 5 m and spacing size was 25 x 25 cm. more » ... eding and 2-3 seedling per hill. Fertilizers used were urea, SP36, and KCl with dosage 90-50-60 kg/ha of N-P2O5-K2O. Stability parameter used was Wricke's ecovalence method. Result: significantly genotipelocation interaction.GH47, BW307-6, B10179b-Mr-1-4-1, IR61242-3B-B-2,and B9852E-35- KA-66 were lines with high yield potential and stability. Line GH47 was highest yield stability, while IR61242-3B-B-2 and B9852E-35-KA-66 with highest yield potential. Lines GH47 and GH137were prefer by farmers in Kalimantan and a part of Sumatera, while TOX3118b-E-2-3-2, IR61242-3B-B-2, and IR58511-4B-4 were prefer in Sumatera only. rice lines of tidal swamp wetland those prefer in Kalimantan maybe developed in Kalimantan and lines those prefer Sumatera maybe developed in Sumatera also.
