The project is about developing and fabricating the circuit that can charge the lead acid battery during day time and light the lamps during night time. The battery used is gradually charged with the help of charge controller thereby protecting the battery from damage, enhancing its life cycle and monitoring the battery status. A microcontroller PIC16F877 is used for all the switching and controlling functions of the whole system. The lighting source preferred is LED which is advantageous in

A mounting angle for solar panel is determined for all the four seasons of the year ensuring the maximum efficiency deliverable by the panel. The dust accumulated over the panel surface is automatically cleaned with the help of Electro Dynamic Screen (EDS) technology.
