Lung aspergilloma consists of a fungal mass composed predominantly by Aspergillus fumigatus formed within a prior lung cavity, in greater numbers in healed tuberculosis caverns. Clinically, it is marked by patients in their fourth or fifth decade of life presenting most commonly repeating episodes of small volume of hemoptysis.
