The content of this thesis deals with the comparison of Marquis de Sade and Pier Paolo Pasolini on the basis of their pieces "The 120 days of Sodom" and Salò or the 120 days of Sodom". We will find elements of consumer- and capitalsm critique in connection with the economically as well as morally exploited individual and it's role in the exploitation society. Additionally there will be a comparison between the media of books and films. Finally, the core issue is, where, when and in which way elements respectively anticipations of (german) fascism can be found earlier in modernity, especially in the beginning of economy's dialectic tendency of exploiting the individual. Another focus will be on the question to what extent we are living in a "society of camps".
