Investigating eco-efficiency procedure to compare refurbishment scenarios with different insulating materials

The paper presents a set of situations regarding eco-efficiency. It is built on both environmental and economic performances. Those performances are computed respectively from LCA and from WLC. The present eco-efficiency procedure considers both matrix and ratio methods. This paper investigates different alternatives for refurbishment insulation of a single-family house located in the North of France. The analyzed refurbishment scenarios consider different insulating materials: standard glass
more » ... s: standard glass wool, hemp concrete, cellulose fiber, expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), and rigid foam polyurethane. The different alternatives are compared using the eco-efficiency procedure.
