The percentage of total seed or granules on the soil surface following seeding operations was evaluated. Implements seeding cereal and rapeseed crops were evaluated under different soil conditions. Overall percentages of seed or granules remaining on the soil surface varied from 0.077% to 6.960% of applied. Recommendations were made for decreasing the hazards to wildlife of chemically treated seeds or granules left on the soil surface.
