An Agent based Distributed Security System for Intrusion Detection in Computer Networks

Intruders damage or steal valuable information by either bypassing security tools or penetrating through them, necessitating the need to detect such intrusion attempts especially in case of multi-event based distributed attacks spanning over a considerable amount of time. In this paper ecology of agents is being suggested that uses class hierarchy to define complex intrusions.
