The purpose of this study is to discover the rules that govern the structure of the narrative text in al-Qaws wa-al-farāshah (The Bow and the Butterfly), a novel by the Moroccan writer Muhammad Al-Ash'ari. The study is based on the assumption that each creative text carries within it the rules governing its construction, which is the essence of the philosophy of experimentation in literature.
