Scabies is an infectious dermatosis transmitted by the ectoparasite Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. It is still common and affects patients regardless of their socio-economic level and hygiene. The diagnosis is mainly clinical. Generalized pruritus with nocturnal recrudescence and cutaneous manifestations of particular topography are highly suggestive.
