Energy pros to discuss '8j0s issues By CARMEN HILL Dally Texan Staff The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and L B J Library/Museum will sponsor " Energy Policy in Perspective: Solutions, Problems and Prospects," a conference to examine U.S. energy policy Thursday and Friday. L B J Library Director Harry J. Midaieton said, " Speakers will discuss the dimensions of the energy problem today and options for handling energy problems in the 1980s." more » ... brary lecture hall in the library/school complex, will feature experts on energy policy, state officials, faculty members from several universities and authors of the recently published book, " Energy Policy in Perspec tive." The book, published by the Brookings Institution, an independent research organization, is the " genesis of the idea" for the symposium, Middleton said. Four panels will discuss U.S. energy policy since World War II, current energy problems and energy policy in the 1980s. Charles Corcoran, assistant director of the L B J Library, said the aim of the conference was geared toward pointing out possible solutions to energy problems.
