The energy aware based active node decision and the sensing directions thereof become the research hotspots of DNN (Directional Sensor Network). Therefore, an EACO (Energy aware-based coverage optimal) algorithm is proposed in this paper. Specifically, each cluster head decides the number of the active nodes of the cluster members and the sensing directions thereof according to the coverage area of the sensor nodes and the energy information thereof.
