This paper is of the opinion that this range of views has different notions of the term «culture» as one of its basic assumptions. To that end, Charles Taylor's political idea of multicultural recognition is critically analysed, taking into consideration some aspects of cultural identity, as given by Clifford Geertz, Zygmund Bauman and Michael Ignatieff.
