Review on Biosurveillance and Early Warning Capabilities in the United States and Other Developed Countries
2017
Chinese Journal of Engineering Science
Surveillance and early warning are key aspects of a country's biosecurity capability. In this paper, we investigate the overall status of the USA and other countries' research and development regarding their own capabilities for biosurveillance. We make several recommendations to strengthen China's biosurveillance capability, including strategic planning, mechanism reform, personnel training, and infrastructure platform construction. In addition, we comment on strengthening the supporting role of science and technology.
