The report describes the state of research and development in seven chapters, the first three of which treat the fo llowing topics: 1. General problems of indexing languages (lLs): Metainformation, metalanguage, elements of linguistics, elements of the theory of ILs, typology of ILs, tasks and construction of ILs, compatibility of different types of ILs and their linking, ILs used in Poland. 2.
