Data from an interactive simulation of dynamic agents' social behavior is applied to the control of procedural sound synthesis. Sound is generated dynamically in parallel with visualization and presented in an interactive system where the simulation is playable. We discuss computational models for simulation and for procedural sound generation. Methods for extracting data from agents' behavior are applied to generate interactive sound control data. Procedural Sound Design Patterns for

To illustrate the approach two sound design patterns are contrasted: (1) rendering a separate sound source for each agent, and (2) extracting swarm features from the collective behaviors of many agents to control a shared sound source.
