Hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD). We previously demonstrated that homocysteine (Hcy) suppresses endothelial cell (EC) proliferation, migration, and post-injury EC repair, but the molecular mechanism underlying Hcy-induced EC injury is unclear.
