The paper concerns a class of task-oriented simulation models for discrete event systems. Systems are considered, in which arriving tasks are executed in alternative ways, according to the actual state of particular system resources. The models are based on Petri nets, with extensions including informative aspects of modeled processes as well as timing and decisionmaking rules.
