Wild oat control and tolerance of grass seed crops to fenoxaprop-P-ethyl

Fenoxaprop P-ethyl, a wild oat herbicide was applied to five grass species. Perennial ryegrass was tolerant to 37 g/ha, but there was a trend for a reduction in seed yield at 75 g/ha. Two Bromus species had good tolerance, but Phalaris aquatica seed yields were reduced by 80%. In a second trial, there was no significant effect on seed yield of perennial and hybrid ryegrass to fenoxaprop applied at 56 g/ha.
