Dr. Higgins is Professor of Chemistry at Wright State University where he conducts research on solidliquid interfaces using in-situ high-temperature scanning probe microscopy. His primary research emphasis is on mineral-water interfaces which are important to current geochemical and environmental problems such as radioactive waste storage, geothermal energy, and carbon sequestration.
