Estimating the mean of an exponential population under progressively type-II censored sample
2014
Applied Mathematical Sciences
In this article, the problem of estimating the mean of an exponential population is studied based on progressively Type-II censored data under linex loss function. Bayes, generalized Bayes and empirical Bayes estimators are derived. Further, some admissibility and inadmissibility results in a linear class of estimators are obtained. The best scale equivariant estimator is shown to be admissible and minimax. Mathematics Subject Classification: 62C15, 62F10
