Land surface albedo, defined as the ratio between the reflected and incident shortwave solar radiation at the surface, is considered one of the critical parameters of the Earth's energy budget (Liang et al., 2010; Trenberth et al., 2009) . As an indicator for denoting the reflectance properties of land surfaces, albedo varies with land cover and geophysical properties (e.g., fraction of snow cover, greenness of vegetation, vegetation structure, surface roughness, and soil moisture).
