Glomerular diseases are the leading cause of chronic kidney disease, and mesangial cells (MCs) have been demonstrated to be involved in the pathogenesis. Puromycin aminonucleoside (PAN) is a nephrotoxic drug that induces glomerular injury with elusive mechanisms.
