The aim of this article, then, is to show these remarkable similarities by a close reading of Stoppard's Arcadia. Özet Metne postmodern veya karşı-postmodern bilinçle yaklaşımlar akla yeni tarihselcilik gibi yeni metod ve teorileri getirmektedir. Bu makale Tom Stoppard'ın Arcadia'sının yeni tarihselci bir gözle incelenmesi üzerine kurulu değildir; daha ziyade yeni tarihselci edebi teorinin belli başlı teknik ve yöntemlerinin Stoppard'ın oyunu Arcadia da nasıl vücut bulduğunu betimlemek için yazılmıştır. Zira yeni tarihselci edebi yöntem ile Tom Stoppard'ın oyun yaratma tekniği arasında çarpıcı benzerlikler olduğu fark edilmiştir.Bu makalenin amacı bu benzerlikleri Arcadia incelemesi üzerinden vermektir.
