Aim: Albizia lebbeck L. is widely used to treat many diseases. Saponins are one of the major constituents that are found in the tissues of the tree. The purpose of this study was aimed at the phytochemical and biological investigation of the saponins of the pericarp. Methodology: 50% ethanol extract of the dried powdered pericarp of A. lebbeck was fractionated with different organic solvents and examinated for their oxidative stress radical, anticonvulsant and analgesic effects.
