The concept of green sigma is the latest trendsetter which encompasses the important strategies of six and lean sigma together under one roof. This paper explains the concept of green sigma initially, then feasibility of applying this model in a power station was thoroughly analyzed and applied to replace the existing fluorescent lighting system of the power plant with LED lightings and valid proofs in terms energy savings were generated to substantiate LED.
