RESUMO Este artigo discute as conclusões do artigo "Uma alternativa de interpretação do II PND", onde os autores tentam dar uma nova interpretação à racionalidade - ou à falta dela - do II PND (Segundo Plano Nacional de Desenvolvimento) da administração Geisel. Entendemos que ao II PND não faltou raciocínio econômico e que o referido artigo não atribuiu características de patrimonialismo ao planejamento e execução do Plano.
