ISO 4126 is the leading standard for protecting pressurized systems against excessive pressures. It includes nine parts for safety valves, bursting disks, pilot-operated valves, and controlled pressure relief systems. Single and two-phase flow is covered. The standard does not fully reflect the current state of technology applied in many companies, especially the zero-emission trends.
