Innovation in Human Resources practices: the case of talent management in companies

The changing and evolving context of organizations triggers the problem of human resources. The new results-driven challenges that are due to the hyper-competitiveness of companies, lead the top management to develop a reflection that is both managerial and economic so that to apprehend the organizational evolutions. Researchers in Management Science, faced with these ongoing changes, question these new issues emanating from the globalized economy, namely the probing and evaluation of key individuals whose expertise, capacity, talent, will constitute a real added value that will lead the organization to be more innovative and hence more efficient. This innovation in the way of managing the human capital of an organization relies, particularly, on the emerging notion of talent. The aim of this article is to show that in the era of technological change, the performance of organizations is closely linked to the urgent implementation of innovative management practices that will attract and retain talented individuals.
