1976 Arthropod Management Tests
Eight chemicals were applied to corn (Fanfare) using a Highboy ground applicator. These materials were applied four times at intervals of five days beginning on August 25, 1975. The first application was delayed by about one week. Experimental units were comprised of four rows, 50 feet long with 10 foot alleys between treatments and replicated four times in a balanced lattice design. Insect damage was recorded when corn had reached maturity. Damage is reported as to tunnel depth in ear tips and

They are rated by using an index of 0 to 5 where 0 has no hazard, 1 has short residual hazard, and 5 has long residual hazard.
