AUQUST 1578. 1st. The name of the Association is "THE INsTITUTION OF MEOHANICAL ENQINXEBB." 2nd. The Hegistcred Office of the Association will be situate in England. 3rd. The objucts for which the Association is established are :-(A.) To promoto the scicnce and practice of Mechanical Engineering and all branches of mechanical construction, and to givo an impulse to inventions likely to be Useful to tho Members of the Institution and to the community at large. (B.) To enable Mechanical Engineers

(0.) T o acquire end dispose of property for tho purposes aforesaid. (D.) To do all othcr things incidental or condiicivc to tho attaininent of the abovo objects or any of them.
