The increase in life expectancy and the reduction of fertility rates contribute to a global aging, in Brazil the number of people over 60 years went from 3 million in 1960 to more than 20 million in 2010, with that another number that is increasing Is the number of elderly people living alone, from 1.1 million in 1992 to 3.7 million in 2012. The application also uses the smartphone's accelerometer to detect when the elderly suffer a fall and notify the responsible through an SMS.
