Steady s t a t e h e a t e r temperat u r e s were a c h i e v e d i n 20 t o 75 min for argon, and i n 10 t o 90 m i n f o r hydrogen. Steady s t a t e s p e c i f i c impulses were a c h i e v e d i n 25 t o 60, and 20 t o 60 min r e s p e c t i v e l y . When o p e r a t e d under ambient c o n d i t i o n s t y p ir . 290 s e c , r e s p e c t i v e l y . Performance measured w i t h s e v e r a l m i x t u r e s o f argon and m 03 e W I w e i g h t i n g t h e argon and n i t r o g e n i n d i v i d u a l performance r e s u l t s . A n o t h e r 1400 " C was s e l e c t e d . When t e s t i n g began t h i s t e m p e r a t u r e was lowered t o 1200 " C p r o v i d i n g an added s a f e t y f a c t o r for a c h i e v i n g t h e d e s i r e d l i f e .
