Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease of unclear etiology. Cardiac involvement in sarcoidosis is rarely diagnosed clinically. It is not commonly fatal, but when sarcoidosis is fatal, it is most often from cardiac involvement and when sarcoidosis involves the heart, it frequently causes death.
