This study is of a historical nature, representing an attempt to reconstruct the educational work of several outstanding Polish creators of artistic and applied graphics. ... nts' opinions) of artists, who -in respecting their students' individuality and creating an atmosphere of benevolence and esteem -supported the development of their talents. The profiles of selected artists are presented, including: W. Skoczylas, E. Bartłomiejczyk, H. Tomaszewski and J. Szancer in an attempt to demonstrate that these outstanding artistic personalities, were, as it turns out, also eminent teachers in the Polish artistic education movement of the twentieth century.
