In the human brain, forgetting is a very effective way of focusing on the important things, while unstressing irrelevant details. In the ForgetIT project, we use forgetting and other processes in the human brain -such as the context-driven reconstruction of memories -as an inspiration for creating intelligent methods for joint information and preservation management.
