Effects of Annealing Temperature and Al Content on Microstructures and Properties of Al-brass

The effects of annealing temperature (600℃, 625℃, 650℃, 680℃) and aluminum content (1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%) on the microstructures and mechanical properties of complex aluminum-brass were investigated. The results show that with the increase of Al content, the grains of Al-brass become finer, and the tensile strength increases, while the elongation decreases. The recrystallization temperature of coldrolled plate with 1.5% Al is about 625℃, while that of plate with 2.5% Al is about 680℃.
