There has been an increase in the production of arugula in the organic system, however, there are few studies with organic fertilization in the production of this vegetable. The present paper aims to evaluate the production of arugula with three sources of organic fertilizers before planting, and two sources in top dressing (TD). Six treatments were evaluated, with five replications, in a randomized block design. The evaluated treatments were: control without fertilization; only planting

The combination of CM with CBC or BOK before planting and PF with CM + TD with CBC were the treatments superior to the control for all characteristics related to production. Higher number of leaves, fresh weight per plant and plant height were obtained in the treatment with CM before planting + TD with CBC (27,9, 34,1 g and 33 cm, respectively). The incorporation of CBC or BOK can be done when planting together with CM in order to reduce labor costs, compared to its application in TD.
