Jombok Slope Stabilty Monitoring System: an Overview

Landslide is defined as geological phenomenon caused by various types of rock mass or soil movement, such as rocks fall or large soil lump. Construction activities and human needs fulfillment force the hilly areas to be transformed into housing area and farm land, which could trigger the landslide occurrence. more » ... ons have several benefits such as minimizing the risk, especially on public building; reducing the cost at construction/operation/maintenance process; improving and developing the geotechnical construction method, to increase the performance based design criterion. The real time of soil condition could be thoroughly monitor by the data center by using the water content sensor, tilting sensor, and data logger. The data center will then process the data and send back the processed data as the information for local people to anticipate slope failure. Abstrak Longsor adalah suatu peristiwa geologi yang terjadi karena pergerakan masa batuan atau tanah dengan berbagai tipe dan jenis seperti jatuhnya bebatuan atau gumpalan besar tanah. Aktifitas pembangunan dan pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup menyebabkan banyak perbukitan harus berubah menjadi perumahan dan lahan pertanian, sehingga memicu kejadian longsor. Perkembangan teknologi pada ICT telah banyak digunakan untuk slope stability monitoring. Keuntungan penggunaan ICT adalah untuk mengurangi resiko terutama terhadap bangunanbangunan umum, untuk meminimalisasi biaya baik saat construction/operation/maintenance dan untuk memperbaiki dan mengembangkan metode desain bangunan geoteknik sehingga bisa meningkatkan kinerja bangunan saat operasi (performancaike based design). Dengan menggunakan sensor kadar air, sensor kemiringan (tilting), inclinometer, dan data logger maka data-data kondisi tanah secara real time dapat dikirimkan ke pusat data. Pusat data akan mengolah data dan mengirim kembali data ke lokasi sebagai antisipasi kelongsoran lereng. Kata kunci: longsor, teknologi informasi dan komunikasi; soil monitoring system.
