Age hardenable aluminum alloys belonging to the Al-Zn-Mg family have proved useful as structural materials primarily because of their unique combination of low density, high strength and good corrosion resistance. In the present study an attempt is made to investigate the effect of RRA heat treatment on the wear resistance of AA 7049 high strength aluminum alloy. In the present paper AA 7049 aluminum alloy has been subjected to heat treatment processes of T6 temper, T73 temper and RRA atfatcat:6d2ltwshrjf6fmq27xfgqj4i2y
