... ssibility of comparability. From this point of view, the analysis have identified in the article problems of innovative support of agriculture of Ukraine. Results of research. Sustainable intensification of agriculture requires the implementation of measures on introduction of innovations, while improving the environmental performance of agriculture requires change, simultaneous interventions along the whole food chain from production to consumption. Sustainable economic development of agriculture also requires unprecedented, large-scale changes in the behavior of consumers as well as producers of agricultural products. Elements and ways of sustainable development of agriculture and food systems are investigated. Innovation support to agriculture also requires rethinking the role of international and national structures. The global food system should become a genuine global partnership that widely shares information, experience and new technologies, following the principles of open access and practices about honor intellectual property, to enable broad access and use. Otherwise, the progress in the implementation of innovation support is slow, and therefore the goals and objectives of sustainable agricultural development cannot be achieved. A new model to implement is necessary, to uncover the real potential of agriculture enterprises in the public and private sectors in solving complex problems.
