Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict new phenomena which decay into well isolated, high-transverse-momentum leptons. Searches for new physics models with this signature are performed using the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The results reported here cover searches for W and Z bosons using 36.1 fb −1 of proton-proton collision data collected in 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS detector at the LHC with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.
