Polynucleotides, polypeptides, polysaccharides are the polymers seen in living organisms. Many biopolymers are important reserve compounds that are stored in the cytoplasm as insoluble inclusions. Likewise Polyhydroxyalkanoates are natural, renewable biopolyester accumulated in bacteria in the presence of limited nitrogen sources and higher concentration of carbon source.
